Ringtons Doorstep Campaign

Three days of filming across a factory, live delivery rounds and customers' homes, turned into a main campaign film, eight social films and 27 deliverables.
Consumer Brands & Retail

The brief

Ringtons has been knocking on doors with tea and coffee for generations. We started talking in summer 2025 about what video could do across the whole business: marketing, the factory, the people and internal comms.

The campaign had one job. Reach new audiences, including people who’ve never had a doorstep delivery, and show them how it works, how handy it is and the friendships that come with it. And it had to feel like Ringtons: customers, warmth and a bit of humour. Nobody wanted a polished, staged advert.

On the day

It snowed. Of course it did. We filmed in January, so the schedule protected every hour of daylight, and the doorstep visits went ahead in the snow.

The vans only seat two, so we split into two crews and rode along with two salespeople on their real rounds. You can’t ask a customer to answer the door twice.

Our approach

Months of ideas first

Before a camera rolled, we worked through brand film ideas, people-led series, customer stories, a seasonal concept and a social advertising plan with the Ringtons team. The idea that stuck: follow a Ringtons order from the people who make it to the customers who welcome it in, in four parts.

  • Factory pride: the care and expertise behind the products.
  • On the round: the salespeople, their vans and the rhythm of a working day.
  • The doorstep: the friendships that grow from a regular visit.
  • A cuppa at home: Ringtons as part of family life.

Three very different days

The factory needed safety paperwork for every piece of kit, and filming that worked around people doing their jobs. For the four customers’ homes, we gathered photos of every room, front door and approach in advance, so we knew the light, the space and the travel before we arrived.

Three days of filming

From 6 to 8 January 2026 we filmed the factory floor and warehouse, the salespeople’s day from loading the vans to the last doorstep, and four customers at home with a brew. A stills photographer worked alongside the crew, so Ringtons came away with a library of campaign photos too.

Finding the stories

We let people talk. Every interview was transcribed and logged against timecode, and the stories were all there: families who’ve had Ringtons for decades, salespeople who’ve become friends, a customer who moved up from London and now looks forward to the fortnightly visit, and factory staff proud of what they make.

Cut for advertising

The films had to work as paid social ads as well as stories. We kept the campaign tea-led to stay inside the rules on advertising food high in fat, salt or sugar, and built each short film as its own story, with its own hook and a Ringtons moment in the opening seconds. Several rounds of review with the Ringtons team shaped the wording, pacing and endings, and the grade was squeezed into a tight window to hit the delivery date.

Deliverables

Nine films, each delivered in three formats for different platforms: 27 deliverables in all.

  • The main campaign film
  • Ringtons Day
  • The Knock
  • My Driver
  • On the Round
  • Factory Pride
  • More than a Delivery
  • Our Street
  • Main Film Social Cut

Plus a set of edited campaign stills from the shoot.

The result

Ringtons signed off the campaign in February 2026. They got a main film, eight social films and a library of stills, ready for their website, organic social and paid ads.
