St Oswald’s Hospice Brand Launch Film

A specially commissioned film telling the hospice's story, made to unveil its new identity.
Charity & Non-Profit

The brief

In 2020 St Oswald’s Hospice introduced a new identity, created with Drummond Central and inspired in part by a mosaic made by patients, families, staff and volunteers. The hospice commissioned us to make a film telling its story, to be revealed alongside the new logo.

On the day

This one’s personal. My auntie passed away at St Oswald’s, and I first got in touch because I wanted to help them shout about the work they do. We interviewed people who use their services, which was emotionally hard, and worth every minute for what came out of it.

Once the team saw how we worked on set, they trusted us straight away. They’re now one of our strongest partnerships and describe us as an extension of their team. In their words, “you just get us”.

Our approach

We built the film around what staff and patients had to say, so the launch celebrated the people, compassion and community behind the hospice rather than just a new logo.

Deliverables

A brand launch film.

The result

The film premiered at the hospice’s Leap Year Ball on 29 February 2020, where the new logo was unveiled to supporters for the first time.
