Charities do incredible work and video helps make sure people see it! Whether it’s raising awareness, encouraging donations, or sharing personal stories that stay with people long after they’ve watched, film is one of the most powerful tools a charity can use to connect with its audience.

We’ve worked with a wide range of charity and non-profit organisations; from hospices and support services to community groups and national initiatives – we’ve created videos that are thoughtful, emotive and built around real impact.

These films take many forms including service overviews, personal case studies, awareness campaigns, recruitment pieces and event event coverage. What links them all is a focus on people, purpose and the difference being made.

A charity video enables a way to say more with less — to cut through the noise and speak to people’s hearts as well as their heads. When done right, it’s more than just content, it becomes part of the mission.

Working in the charity sector means understanding the responsibility that comes with telling someone else’s story. Our approach is always sensitive, always people-first, and always shaped around the values of the organisation we’re working with. We take the time to listen, to plan, and to make sure what we’re creating reflects the work and the people behind the cause.

EXAMPLES OF OUR CHARITY VIDEO PROJECTS

We worked with St Oswald’s Hospice to create a heartfelt and inspiring film about the impact of Gifts in Wills. Through emotional storytelling and beautifully captured interviews, the video highlights how legacy donations help provide compassionate care for patients and their families. Featuring real stories and personal reflections, the film conveys the lasting difference that a gift can make, encouraging supporters to consider leaving a legacy of care.

Concordia is a vocal project funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, working with schools in the North East to explore the impact of learning through the arts.  Our film documented the programme and showed the many benefits that projects like this can bring to young people including growth of confidence, independent thinking and nurturing of relationships.

At St Oswald’s Hospice, quality, expert, tailored care is at the very heart of what they do. But on top of this, they strive to make everyone’s stay with them the very best it can be and help families to enjoy being together at an often difficult time. As well as fulfilling their medical and emotional needs, their team try to make the little things that make a big difference happen for their patients. This video introduces you to some of their patients and families who will explain how the little things have made a big difference to them during their time at the Hospice.

Action Deafness are a deaf-led charity providing a huge array of services for the deaf and hard of hearing. Turps Film were contracted to produce a series of videos focusing on each of their service offers.

St Oswald’s Hospice offers a variety of much needed services. One of their lesser known services is the care they offer for children and young adults. We made a short film to explain how this service works and who its for!
