Little Inventors were looking for a video to document a project based around the Alexandra Palace. Working with CBBC presenter Maddie Moate, we choreographed various steadicam sequences and incorporated bespoke animation to create an end product which succinctly issues a challenge to the audience whilst telling an educational and entertaining story.
We partnered with North Tyneside Safeguarding Children Partnership to create an engaging and accessible animation that helps young people understand safeguarding and their rights. Co-produced with young people themselves, the film brings their voices to the forefront, ensuring the message is clear, relatable, and impactful. With a bright, approachable animation style, the video empowers young audiences with the knowledge they need to stay safe and seek support when needed.
Newcastle School for Boys wanted to create a video which would showcase the unique experience, ethos, and opportunities available at the school in just a few minutes. Something to give parents an idea as to why Newcastle School for Boys was the right choice for their child. The video effectively sells the USPs of the school and does so using actual testimonials from their own students. It reached 1,000 views in its first day and the reception has been fantastic.
Hotspur Primary School were awarded National Lottery funding in order to provide the children with a week of learning and interaction in their home environment. Across this week, they encouraged the children to find out details about the history of their local community.
Engaging, informative, and accessible— videos are one of the most effective ways to communicate complex ideas, train staff, and inspire learning. At Turps Film, we create high-quality educational content that simplifies information while keeping audiences engaged, whether that’s for internal training, e-learning courses, schools, or wider public education campaigns.
Video has the power to make learning more interactive and memorable, breaking down topics into visually compelling narratives that connect with different audiences. Whether it’s teacher-led classroom content, corporate training, explainer animations, or public awareness films, we craft videos that don’t just inform—they engage and inspire action.
What Forms Can Educational Videos Take?
- Training & Instructional Videos – Walkthroughs, tutorials, or scenario-based learning that teach skills, procedures, or best practices in an engaging and structured way.
- Explainer Animations – Animated videos are a fantastic tool for breaking down complex ideas into digestible, easy-to-understand content. They work especially well for corporate training, public health initiatives, and educational campaigns.
- Case Study & Real-World Examples – Learning is more effective when it’s relatable. Case study-led videos bring real-world applications into focus, helping audiences see the direct impact of ideas, policies, or training.
- Classroom & E-Learning Content – Whether it’s for schools, universities, or workplace training, video is a powerful way to enhance engagement and improve retention.
- Public Awareness & Behaviour Change Campaigns – From social prescribing to financial education, we’ve worked on projects that use storytelling and clear messaging to drive meaningful change.
A well-produced video makes learning more engaging and accessible than traditional methods. By using a combination of visuals, storytelling, and clear explanations, video simplifies complex topics and ensures key messages are easily understood. It also provides consistency, meaning every learner gets the same high-quality information, whether it’s for staff training, student education, or public awareness. Video content is also flexible and scalable, allowing organisations to reuse and adapt materials for different audiences, formats, and learning environments.
At Turps Film, we’ve worked across corporate training, public sector education, and awareness campaigns, delivering video content that makes learning more engaging and effective.
