Video is one of the most effective ways to communicate ideas, explain processes and support learning. Whether it’s used in classrooms, workplace training, or public campaigns, a good educational film doesn’t just inform. It helps people properly engage with the subject.

At Turps Film, we produce educational videos that are clear, creative and built around the needs of your audience. From e-learning content and animated explainers to internal training and behaviour change campaigns, we work with organisations to make complex information easy to understand and harder to forget.

We’ve delivered content for schools, colleges, charities, and corporate teams – always with a focus on strong storytelling, clean visuals and clarity of message.

Video formats we work with include; training & instructional videos, explainer animations, case study-led content, classroom & e-learning materials and public awareness campaigns

Good educational content isn’t just about delivering facts – it’s about making sure those facts land. Through strong storytelling, clean visuals and clear structure, video helps people absorb and retain information. It brings consistency across teams and classrooms, and it’s endlessly adaptable whether you need something for social media, staff inductions, or curriculum-based learning.

We understand the balance between creativity and clarity and we know how to shape films that inform without overwhelming, and educate without losing interest.

EXAMPLES OF OUR EDUCATIONAL VIDEO PROJECTS

Little Inventors were looking for a video to document a project based around the Alexandra Palace. Working with CBBC presenter Maddie Moate, we choreographed various steadicam sequences and incorporated bespoke animation to create an end product which succinctly issues a challenge to the audience whilst telling an educational and entertaining story.

We partnered with North Tyneside Safeguarding Children Partnership to create an engaging and accessible animation that helps young people understand safeguarding and their rights. Co-produced with young people themselves, the film brings their voices to the forefront, ensuring the message is clear, relatable, and impactful. With a bright, approachable animation style, this educational video empowers young audiences with the knowledge they need to stay safe and seek support when needed.

Newcastle School for Boys wanted to create a video which would showcase the unique experience, ethos, and opportunities available at the school in just a few minutes. Something to give parents an idea as to why Newcastle School for Boys was the right choice for their child. The video effectively sells the USPs of the school and does so using actual testimonials from their own students. It reached 1,000 views in its first day and the reception has been fantastic.

Hotspur Primary School were awarded National Lottery funding in order to provide the children with a week of learning and interaction in their home environment. Across this week, they encouraged the children to find out details about the history of their local community.
