We’re really excited to share the details of our recent collaboration with Saint-Gobain Abrasives, where we delved into the world of Norton Razorstar® with a brand spanking new 3D Animation!
Norton Razorstar® is an engineered shaped ceramic grain to be used on abrasive belts, fibre discs and backup pads. It’s a breakthrough technology specifically designed to deliver the best grinding performance.
Project Overview:
A super sharp grain that has some nifty USPs and Saint-Gobain Abrasives want us to help promote it?
ABSOLUTELY! Sparks and machinery – let’s get cracking! Armed with an array of stylistic references, imagery and videos, we embarked on a creative journey to translate technical specifications and design mock-ups into a dynamic and informative but engaging visual experience.
We needed to produce a high quality, concise, 3D technical showcase that demonstrates the key points of the unique product. But where do you even start with such a large project? Well, as with most projects, you start at the drawing board:
Approximate Quote and Additional Considerations:
To deliver a polished end product, we provided an approximate quote range, considering factors like animation complexity and language requirements. Our proposal also included provisions for additional amends and language translations, catering to diverse audience needs.
In addition to the proposed approach, we presented alternative considerations, such as a commercial-style narrative featuring stylised and photorealistic imagery. This approach offers a blend of high-quality video footage and 3D animation, reminiscent of traditional commercials, elevating the brand’s storytelling potential.
Deliverables and Purpose:
Our proposal outlined a comprehensive approach, including a concise 3D animation, complemented by image renders for a variety of marketing applications. A key goal was to educate internal marketing teams about the new grain’s functionality, emphasising its unique properties and long-term cost benefits. The final product needed to be accessible but clear and able to cover off all of the key points about what makes Norton Razorstar® so special and so much better than the competition.
Proposed Structure and Approach:
Drawing inspiration from successful industry precedents, we devised a structured narrative that seamlessly integrated key messaging with captivating visuals. Our proposed approach included:
- A brief introduction showcasing the manufacturer and the name of the product
- A machine mounted belt with the abrasive in action
- A close-up showcase of the abrasive texture
- A sequence highlighting key strengths and unique selling points
- A demonstration of the grain’s cutting capabilities and fracturing process
- A comparison to a competitor product showcasing Razorstar®’s superior performance
Throughout the production process, our goal remained to streamline collaboration and minimise the required input from Saint-Gobain Abrasives. At Turps Film we understand that clients have their own workload, and by working with a production company that is capable of truly understanding their brief, brand, audiences and delivery channels, they can take a step back and simply provide feedback and amends at key points throughout project development.
Our goal is to make content production as effortless for our clients as possible. From initial briefing to final signoff, we ensure transparency and efficiency every step of the way.
Let’s take a look at the end product!
We thrive on bringing creative ideas to fruition, and our collaboration with Saint-Gobain Abrasives to unveil the power of high-precision grain was an amazing opportunity to showcase some of our technical skills. We’re delighted with the outcome – a video that blends excitement, innovation, and effective brand storytelling. We extend our gratitude to Saint-Gobain Abrasives for choosing us for this venture.
If you’re seeking imaginative video production that captivates your audience with flair and personality, give us a shout!
