Producing High-Quality Video Content in the North East

Creating impactful video content isn’t just about great visuals and sound—it’s about telling a story. Recently, we collaborated with IE Hub, a UK-based Fintech, to produce a series of customer-facing explainer videos aimed at showcasing their free online affordability tool. This project was crucial, especially in the current cost-of-living crisis, to help customers understand the support IE Hub offers.

The Shoot

IE Hub offers a free online affordability tool to support people who have fallen into financial difficulties. Given the current economic climate, we knew we wanted to help the company and understood the importance of positioning their brand with a bespoke explainer video. The IE Hub Marketing team decided to film the series inside an employee’s home to portray a safe and welcoming environment. To reduce any stress, Luke Holland, Turps Film Founder and Managing Director, visited the home before filming to build rapport and plan the shoot, ensuring everyone felt comfortable.

The Ask from IE Hub 

The key points for IE Hub were to articulate WHO they are and HOW they support customers. They also wanted to ensure the series of films was uncomplicated, inclusive, and sensitive. The request included:

  • 1 brand identity video
  • 2 staff interviews
  • 8 FAQ explainer videos
  • Beautiful cutaways to showcase the quality of service
  • Easy-to-follow footage of how to use the system

All to be shot and turned around in under a week!

What Did We Do for this explainer video?

We meticulously planned an incredibly organised 1-day shoot. We mapped out all scripts, storyboards, and cutaways ahead of time and ensured we adhered to the agenda. Piece-to-camera-style shoots can be challenging, especially when dealing with a sensitive topic. However, the Turps Film team are experts at putting people at ease, ensuring scripts are delivered naturally.

Luke Holland, Managing Director of Turps Film, emphasized the importance of rapport, stating, “Building rapport with a client is a huge part of what we do. IE Hub is now using the explainer video content on its website and has seen its number of visitors increase by an astonishing 333%. This demonstrates the power of well-crafted video content in driving engagement and brand recognition.
