“Off the back of an incredible Q1, this next quarter has been just as packed with exciting projects delivered, future content in the works, proposals and meetings galore. A real highlight for us was the launch of the Norton Sustainable Discs campaign, which landed brilliantly and is one we’re especially proud of. 2025 is proving to be our busiest year yet at Turps Film!”
At Turps Film, we’ve spent Q2 deep in delivery, pitching future projects, and planning for the next wave of creative campaigns. From hi spec branded content to heart-warming community events, our video production work has spanned multiple sectors and our post-production team has been just as flat out. We think we may have listened to every single stock music track that exists out there, and we’re seeing colour wheels whenever we close our eyes.
Here’s a round-up of what we’ve been up to, what we’ve delivered and what’s coming soon from the Turps Film team. In this turps film video services recap, we’re excited to share highlights from our latest projects, including collaborative efforts with local artists and innovative approaches to storytelling. Additionally, we’ve been fine-tuning our production processes to enhance efficiency and creativity in our upcoming releases. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to push the boundaries of visual storytelling!
Norton Sustainable Discs Campaign- Slo-Mo Sparks in Action!
The quarter’s flagship delivery came in the form of our newest campaign with Saint-Gobain Abrasives, spotlighting their Norton Expert Sustainable Discs – an innovative new range designed to reduce waste while maintaining top performance for tradespeople.
We handled every part of the production; from creative development and scripting, through to studio filming in Newcastle, macro cinematography, and motion graphics – everything you would want with product video production. The result is a bold, confident campaign film that not only shows off the product’s benefits but reinforces Norton’s leadership in sustainable innovation.
The campaign was incredibly well received across internal and external channels and we’re proud to have helped bring it to life.
This project is also a great example of how our video production and editing teams work hand in hand: combining sharp cinematography, bespoke motion work, and a fast-paced, on-brand final edit that delivers for multiple formats.
Here’s the final edit along with some behind the scenes snaps!

Forfusion: Video Launch and Award Win!
We were thrilled to see our testimonial video for Forfusion go live this quarter. This case study piece showcases the real-world impact of their digital transformation services.
Shot earlier this year, the film features one of Forfusion’s clients reflecting on their partnership, results, and why they continue to work together. With a clean interview setup, strategic cutaways, and sharp editing, the final video hits the sweet spot between professional and personal making it perfect for pitches, website use, and social sharing.
Even better, Forfusion were named SME Business of the Year at the recent North East Chamber of Commerce awards – a massive achievement and well deserved! We’re proud to have played a small part in showcasing what makes them such a standout business.
Walk the Plank: One Amazing Day
We returned to Ashington at the end of May to film the latest instalment in the Animating Ashington programme. This time it was for, One Amazing Day, a town-wide celebration packed with performance, creativity, and community pride.
From wrestling rings and street theatre to live music, local traders, and circus acts, the day had it all and we were on hand to capture the atmosphere, the detail, and the joy. The end result? A short-form social cut that brings the energy of the day to life and helps Walk the Plank shout about its success online.
These event shoots move quickly, and our crew worked at pace to get the right coverage with gimbal, close-ups, vox pops, crowd reactions and more. It’s a perfect example of how video can spotlight regional arts and culture on screen, and a good demonstration of Turps Film’s flexible, creative video production approach. Also, we got some important people saying that we were a bunch of good eggs. No doubt those lovely words will be popping up on socials soon.
Exciting Projects to come from Turps Film
We’ve been back in conversation with the brilliant team at St Oswald’s Hospice, working on a brand-new project to showcase a vital part of the organisation’s work. While we’re keeping the subject under wraps for now, it’ll be in the same spirit as our Focus on Living video with real people, honest stories and a film that reflects the compassion and purpose of the hospice itself.
Pre-production is underway, and we’re excited to deepen our partnership with one of the most important care organisations in the region.
This weekend we’re shooting a brilliant heritage project with the Lit & Phil and Little Inventors, marking the library’s 200th anniversary with a playful creative twist.
Behind the scenes, we’ve also been developing some incredibly exciting new commercial video content for the manufacturers, retailers and consumer brands – full-scale productions (one of them needs 10 crew, 6 on screen performers, and the most involved risk assessment we’ve ever done) these are going to look and sound incredible!
While the details are confidential for now, they’re shaping up to be some of our most ambitious brand pieces this year with location shoots, fast-paced edits, stylised sound design and clear campaign goals. They’ll showcase exactly what we mean when we talk about high-end manufacturing video content. You might even see an incredibly cool (and…fast? …is that giving too much away) piece of kit worth more than all of our equipment put together.
The heat must be motivating people to want to get out of the office because we’ve got 4 full-scale commercials on our plate at the minute. As soon as we get the all clear to share you can bet we’ll be singing about these ones for a long time. Look out for those in the Q3 recap. The Q4 recap may just be “the guys are still recovering from summer”.
